Management

Bosses manage their job from the management window. It has three tabs: Employees, Hiring and Appearance. Anything destructive asks for confirmation first.

Who can open it is set on the Permissions page.

Employees

Lists everyone who holds the job, online and offline. Each row shows:

Column Notes
Name Character name
Citizen ID
Server ID Only while the player is online
Grade Change it from the dropdown
Duty On or off duty

Search the list by name or citizen ID.

Promotions and demotions

Pick a new grade from the dropdown on the employee's row. With Config.OnlyManageLowerGrades on, managers can only set grades below their own. With Config.TopGradeBypass on, the top grade can manage everyone except themselves.

Removing employees

Remove any employee from the job. This works on offline players too. Their saved character is updated, so the change applies the next time they log in.

Hiring

A searchable list of online players.

  1. Find the player by name.
  2. Pick their starting grade.
  3. Hire them.

Players who already have the job are not listed. If Config.HireMaxDistance is above zero, the player has to be within that distance of the boss. This needs OneSync.

With the job limit on, players who already hold Config.MaxJobs jobs cannot be hired.

Appearance

Renaming the job

Bosses can give the job a custom display name, with a live preview while typing. The length is capped by Config.MaxLabelLength. Turn renaming off with Config.AllowRename.

The custom name is display only. The real QBCore job name never changes, so other scripts are unaffected.

Changing the icon

Pick any Font Awesome 6 icon for the job:

  • Choose from the preset grid, set with Config.IconChoices
  • Or type any class, for example fa-solid fa-star

There is a live preview and a button to reset to the default icon. Default icons per job come from Config.DefaultIcons, falling back to Config.DefaultIcon. Turn icon changes off with Config.AllowIconChange.

Custom names and icons are saved in the sb_multijobs_custom table and apply to everyone who holds the job.
